In this hands-on workshop, students will be introduced to creating their own fused glass cabochons using colored, transparent and opaque glass, with copper and silver inclusions.
Students will learn to cut and arrange glass to make organic and geometric designs. Finished compositions will then be fired to create unique cabochon pieces, ready to be made into jewelry.

Learn the basics of anticlastic raising, which involves manipulating the metal to create saddle-like, ruffled and organic forms. In this class, students will learn to raise pre-cut metal blanks on sinusoidal metal stakes using Delrin mallets designed for this task. At the end of this class, students will have completed a small pendant or metal sculpture. It is encouraged that students have a core understanding of beginning metalsmithing basics.
